TOBY SWIFT

Toby Swift trained as an actor before spending the next 12 years working as a director in theatre, concentrating on the development and production of new work. For 7 of those years, he was artistic director of award-winning Yorkshire Theatre Company which toured premiere productions throughout the UK and into Europe. Toby then joined BBC Radio Drama as part of its development team since when he has produced and directed over 100 productions, winning a number of awards including the prestigious Prix Italia three times. He is currently the Executive Editor responsible for BBC Audio’s drama team in London and is the audio drama genre leader for the in-house drama teams across the UK.
